Description
Pedilanthus ‘Nana Compacta‘ is a very unusual succulent plant with fleshy white & grey leaves arranged opposite in pairs. It resembles a ladder. Elongated, elliptic leaves are slightly folded upwards along the midvein, forming a boat-like shape. The stem’s zigzag shape is greatly compressed with very short inter-nodes , creating a braided-like texture.
Environment
Grow Pedilanthus in full sun to partial shade in a very well-drained, sand-based soil. In hot summers, shade is recommended for afternoons and so is moisture. Keep the soil drier in winter.
Take care not to over-water, which can cause rotting. Water sparingly, just enough to make the potting mixture moist.
Liquid fertilizer should be used once a month. Plant in well drained sandy mixture.
